Riverlands

Another hot weekend in Adelaide and we take our bikes and kayaks into the Riverlands as we want to do another training ride for the upcoming Tour Down Under. Dimi joins us as well and after a long flat ride we drive down to the Murray River where Pierre and Andrea have a ‘little shack’ on the river.

It is a beautiful holiday home on the river and we can camp in the back yard. Ang and Jamie are also at their ‘shack’ (another amazing place) and have Tom & Linda over for the weekend too and even Cynthia and the kids are there. We all take the boat down to their place for a drink and bbq.

The next day we take the kayaks off the roof and everybody goes for a paddle, we take the kids out on a paddle too and they love it. After that it is time to get the amazing wakeboarding boat out and go wakeboarding. Jon manages to get up a few times, Dimi doesn’t and Jude starts trying jumps over the wake.

The water levels are really low and the tracks from the boat shed to the water need to be extended! Hopefully they can sort this water issue with the Murray River in the near future…
