Rarer than a Blue Moon rogaine – SA 2008
Posted on 28 Apr 2008 |
Our first rogaine in South Australia is in the Flinders Ranges. Grant & Tina fly over from Melbourne to join us and to participate in their first rogaine ever.
It’s about a 6hr drive from Adelaide and we arrive in the middle of the night. The next day we plan like a WA rogaine and as soon as it gets dark we realise we shouldn’t have… Contour lines close together here means cliffs, not just a steep hill… We adjust, have some sleep and go out again with an adapted route – much better. Grant & Tina win first novices and we get wet during the prize giving… The area is beautiful though and we’d love to come back here for some more exploring.
