On a Saturday morning we decide we finally want to explore a little bit of Lamington NP, only a coupe of hours drive from Brissy.

We got to the end of Binna Burra Rd late morning and started hiking the Coomera circuit track past a lot of the waterfalls. That was a beautiful trail, very dark and cold, with some great lookouts over waterfalls. We had lunch at one of the waterfalls near the end of the track, even in the sunshine it still felt quite cool.

When we joined the Border track we decided to continue south on it to get to the Dacelo lookout where you have spectacular views into NSW.

We then followed part of the Hobwee circuit and Araucaria track back to the Border track and ran most of the way back along the Border track. These are great running trails!

Back at the car we treated ourselves to a nice hot chocolate before driving back 2 hours. We need to get back there and do some more exploring!
