Red Yeti 2006
Posted on 28 Nov 2006 |
Red Yeti is a 36hr race which means you get to see some sleepmonsters if you are lucky… The race is in Gippsland and starts at midnight which means we have to be back across the finish line by Sunday midday. Simon originally was in the team and Zoe was going to be our support crew, but after a nasty sprained ankle on a rogaine, Simon joined Zoe and we found Pete to be our last minute fourth.
It was a great race with a rather long second (or was it third?) paddle due to the increasing winds. We walked anything we could as it was almost faster than paddling… We finished first mixed and second overall!
