Gap Creek mtb ride

Posted on 5 Apr 2011 | 0 comments

Our first time riding at Gap Creek. We drove there (about 5-10 minutes drive) and met up with Adrian and a friend of his: Mike. Mike was allowed to go riding – his wife was already overdue! – but he still needs to get a bit fitter 🙂

Poor bugger threw up on the first hill before we had even done one bit of single trail. Made me feel better with my terrible fitness to see somebody less fit then me on the ride was great! (but the throwing up wasn’t necessary to make me feel that way :-))

The trails in Gap Creek are definitely great fun! We didn’t see all of them, but saw a fair few. I managed to stack it on one of them on a simple log roll-over (doh), but apart from that and the throwing up it all went very smoothly. We’ll be back!!

In fact, we reckon this will be a fantastic place to ride at night, starting from home! We’ll keep you posted when that happens.
